historypics1947 - First Camp run by William (Bill) & Winnie Belch - 10-day boys' and girls' camp at Maxwell Settlement east of Bancroft. An empty one-room school house was used as the meeting area with a wood-shed converted to a kitchen. Tents were used as dorms for staff.

1948 - First committee met and was formed which included founder Bill Belch, William Watson and Thomas Brownson.

1948 - Original property purchased on Faraday (Trout) Lake in Bancroft. Three acres and original buildings erected including kitchen, dining room and two dorms. First full run children's program operated this summer.

1949 - First family conference plus children's camps operated together.

1950 - Family Conference, children's camps and first youth camp operated. Local Christian families donated lumber to build four 14' x 16' cabins.

1952
- Original chapel built. (2nd Picture Down)

1953 - First motel built with ten rooms which is presently the upper part of our C-Motel.

1955 - Staff and speakers' cabins built. Much of the material was donated locally.

1957 - Additional property purchased including two cottages.

1958 - Original kitchen and dining room replaced with brick structure. (Currently the Lakeside Building.)

1962 - Original motel raised with lower level added. (Currently C-Motel)

1964 - Two-storey motel with 20 units including two-piece bath. (Currently B-Motel)

1967 - Family-style suites built. (Currently A-Motel)

1969 - Additional 10 acres purchased north of existing property.

1970 - Additional 25 acres purchased from the Hawley family with lakefront and living quarters. (Currently the Boathouse and Belch Cottage.)

1971 - Trailer Park established.

1978 - Two modular staff houses purchased and installed.

1979 - Administration building built with lounge, tuck shop and washrooms.

1980 - First winter camp begins.

1983 - Dining room and kitchen complex added to administration building.

1984 - Central showers built; old kitchen converted to new craft room; old tuck shop converted to infirmary.

1986 - Gymnasium built.

1992 - New chapel added to existing administration building.

1994 - Additional lakefront property purchased.

1999 - New shop and maintenance department constructed. Old shop renovated into program department.

2000 - Trailer Park upgrade including re-organizing lots and updated plumbing and hydro.

2004 - Additional 300+ acres purchased adjacent to existing property with 2000' lakefront on Card Lake.

2005 - Renovations completed on old dining hall building (currently Lakeside Lodge).
